![]() ![]() Last layer of priority that helps to specialize dwarfs is assigning a specific dwarf to a workbench. But the top layer priority can still affect this - if you set that job to “nobody does this,” than even those specialized for it will not do it. The dwarf will now only do the jobs selected for it, and if no work order has been generated, they will do nothing. In order to have a dwarf focus on a specific job (especially the important ones), it may be best to only allow them to do that specific job - as in selecting the job for that individual and giving them the “red hammer”. The second layer of priority is the green or red hammer. That means that if any job has “everybody does this” enabled, and there are many jobs for it, dwarfs may neglect other jobs if the green hammer is enabled for all dwarfs. Dwarfs will do tasks that they have assigned to them based on the closest task. First priority is the overall setting to the specific job type: that is the top selection buttons “everybody does this”, “only selected does this”, and “nobody does this”. It may be best to think of each layer of priority. No need for the self deprecation the labor menu is a bit unintuitive.
